French psych duo The Limiñanas have released a Laurent Garnier remix of “Dimanche (feat. Bertrand Belin)” off their new album ‚Twisting the Shadow People’.
“We met Laurent Garnier around his festival Yeah! that he organizes every year at Lourmarin near Marseille. We were booked for the 2017 edition, and met him and got along. Laurent Garnier was curious about our work and we stayed in touch. We started writing to each other, and gently sent him our new album Shadow People. Spontaneously, he suggested to do a remix on the track “Dimanche”. And he sent us this very cool hypnotic remix of more than 6min30! Totally loyal to New Wave and Psychedelic spirit of the original, he extends the track while respecting its structure (the text is kept intact, which doesn’t happen so much with remixes) strengthening even more the power of the song and its far echo, with the saturated voice of Bertrand Belin.”
