R.O.S.H. shares ‘A LETTER TO RA and the rest of the UK music press’ (July 2020)

The piece is the culmination of 3+ years of research done by R.O.S.H. on the role of the UK music press and its relationship with the Black & working-class dance music scenes:

In his words:

“As some of you may be aware, I have been researching the role of the UK music press and it’s relationship with Black & working class dance music scenes. That research has finally found form in this piece. It’s an extensive look at the systematic injustices over the last decade in UK reportage, as well as some proposals on how to fix them and do better in the next decade. It’s the culmination of 3+ years of research, containing around 130 citations and 14000+ words. The estimated read time is 1hr 50mins.

This is the very least I could do. I hope people with even more privilege than I have a think about what is the very least they could do too”
